If the Oscars red carpet is where we look for the pinnacle of elegance and the Met Gala is where we look for jaw-dropping couture, the Grammys red carpet is where we turn for fashion and beauty that’s just plain fun. In general, musicians tend to have the edgiest aesthetics of the entertainment bunch, so when the biggest night in music comes around, they really go for it, and we watch with bated breath to see what artists like Rihanna and Lady Gaga do.

The following amalgam of looks is dedicated not to the best fashion moments but instead to the hair and makeup that stole the Grammys red carpet. Who had the most inspiring beauty looks at the 2019 Grammys, according to team WhoWhatWear? Scroll on to find out…

Alessia Cara, proving that a classic red lip + cat eye + old Hollywood waves never goes out of style.
Brb, while we call our hairstylists to ask for Camila Cabello’s chic parted bangs. Black eyeliner and glossy pink lips complete the classically feminine look.
Sensing a black eyeliner/pink lips trend. Kacey Musgraves pairs hers with long, sleek black locks.
Singer and Ariana Grande collaborator Tayla Parx trades eyeshadow for crystals, and we fully support it.
We always look forward to Alicia Keys’s fresh face and natural hair on the red carpet. Stunning. Speechless.
Loving Nina Dobrev’s deep plum take on the classic smokey eye. Next: The most intriguing fashion looks from the Grammys.

Bella Hadid has proven time and again that she can pretty much wear anything and look cool doing it. The same doesn’t really go for all of us, though, which is why certain trends become controversial. One of the most controversial denim trends in the game is low-rise jeans. As you know, they had their heyday in the early 2000s but were later replaced by more flattering styles—i.e., high-waisted jeans. But celebs and the fashion world have been hinting at their return, and although it’s been met with some (well, a lot of) resistance, it hasn’t really hit the mainstream again.

As you know, Bella Hadid’s influence on what the world wears is pretty strong. Time will tell if it’s strong enough to make people embrace jeans that hit below their belly buttons again, but there’s no denying that she wears them well. On a side note, her sweater is a $60 Mango find. That may be an easier pill to swallow.

Keep scrolling to shop Hadid’s “controversial” look.

Calling all Zara stans, if you shop the retailer just as much as we do (i.e., a lot) then this one’s for you. You may know about Zara’s sister brands like the equally as on-trend and affordable Stradivarius and Bershka since Zara’s parent company, Inditex, owns a handful of cool Spanish brands. However, there’s a good chance you’ve never heard of another of its other sister brands, Pull&Bear, since it wasn’t sold in the U.S.—until now, that is.

Pull&Bear just launched its e-commerce in the States, so now we can finally shop the Zara-adjacent brand that our Spanish and European fashion friends already knew about for a while. We’re calling Pull&Bear the little sister to Zara because its offering skews a tad more trendy and youthful than good old Z. Soon you’ll be shopping here for fun-loving pieces like tie-dye tees, bucket hats, and all the chunky-soled shoes your heart could desire. And everything is slightly more affordable than you’d find at Zara, too, so add that to the list of reasons to check out the newest Inditex brand in town.

To get a taste of all the cool things on offer at Pull&Bear, keep reading to shop our edit and then wait patiently because we just know all the fashion girls will be wearing the brand soon enough.
