Songne Yacouba’s agent confirms his client has submitted his passport for renewal of work permit

The agent for Songne Yacouba, Mr. Juantuah has denied claims by a section of the media that his client has refused to submit his passport for renewal of his work permit.

Juntuah was speaking in an interview with local radio station ASH Fm in Kumasi on Tuesday afternoon.

His client who plays for Kumasi Asante Kotoko has not been able to play for the club because of the expiration of his work permit.

“It took us about five minutes to collect the passport from Songne to the Kotoko |Management when they requested, so it is never true that he decided not to give his passport for renewal,” Juntuah explained.

“I do not know how he got hold his passport beacuse all his documents are with the Kotoko management|”, he added.

He then asked the media and fans to refrain from all the unnecessary confusion they are causing between the player and the team.

Esperance yet to complete Kwame Bonsu’s transfer as player’s documents delays

Esperance are still waiting for the documents of Kwame Bonsu to finalize the midfielder’s transfer to the Club.

The 23-year-old has agreed a four-year deal with the Club pending the arrival of his documents.

The Blood and Gold will officially announce the signing of the player should he undergo all formalities.

Kotoko are yet to send the player’s international transfer certificate (ITC) to the Club.

Bonsu spent nine months with Kotoko helping the Club to the Group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup and also aiding the Club to win the NC Special Cup.

Hearts of Oak release Ernest Sowah and Yusif Alhassan

Accra Hearts of Oak have released goalkeeper Ernest Sowah and defender Yusif Alhassan.

Both Sowah and Alhassan were frozen out at the Club as they failed to make the grade.

Coach Kim Grant has decided the let go of the pair who are now available for free.

“Goalkeeper Ernest Sowah and defender Yusif Alhassan have both been released from the club. We wish the two players the best of luck in their careers going forward,” the Club tweeted.

Sowah, one of the experienced goalkeepers on the local scene after stints with Tema Youth, Berekum Chelsea and Kotoko could not command the first choice position at Hearts of Oak playing behind Richard Ayi and Ben Mensah.

Alhassan on the other hand could not make any competitive appearance for the Club.
